Black Dog Blossoms
I am Melanie Hames, a dog lover and Nephrologist in Greenville, NC. I have lived in a 100 year old bungalow cottage near Greenville since I moved here to start my internship in 1996. After a decades long love of growing flowers, I was able to take the Floret online workshop in early 2020.
Opening for business March 2021, Black Dog Blossoms is a small fresh cut flower farm/backyard located in Grimesland, NC. Flowers are grown as naturally as possible following organic and sustainable growing practices. Specialty fresh cut flowers available seasonally include tulips, ranunculus, anemones, sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, dahlias, and more!

Learned to love woodwork as a manager with a small furniture manufacturer in Los Angeles. Self taught woodworker finally has time for his love of wood following retirement form the financial community. Prior to selling his work, made Christmas gifts and other project just for family.
Projects include cribs for each grandchild, bunk beds, entertainment center, desk, sofa back, hall tables, and kitchen remodels.
